The Valley - The food and the place...

One night with Tina an ex colleague from my office. Now she works for a different company. Just like a reunion, I and Ellya accepted her invitation for dinner at the valley. She drove us up to 'Dago Atas' with her likely brand new car. She kept appologizing if she had uncomfortably driving the car, while i kept answering no her driving was okay, and i were fine. Conversations run along the way to 'The Valley' mostly bout the past when we used to be in a same company. Finally we arrived. It was a lil' bit cold and windy but nice. A lady as her courtesy lead us to what so called dinner area, an arty place with candle as a lighting to create romantic air.
Dinner a la carte, we began to check what's on menu and decided to order after 15 minutes. Ellya liked to have tom yam gong soup, cake and orange juice, while Tina and I preferred to have something hard as she ordered Tenderloin steak with veges and i had combo platter which consist of prawn, meat, chicken cordon bleu, and salad. We both ordered hot lemon tea.
After waiting for about 30 minutes the tom yam gong soup was served, finally, continued with orange juice and hot lemon tea for three of us, and then the cake and the tenderloin steak for the ladies. After long hours after that my combo platter came up! Thought i would have it two days later pffff.....
We ate and enjoy the meals while conversations continued.. Now reviewing begins...
1. Tom yam gong soup ---> taste like a rotten sayur lodeh (javanese cuisine) but seems Ellya liked it since it almost empty.
2. Kahlua Cream Cake ---> excellent taste! but too much sponge cake on it
3. Tenderloin steak ---> it was just perfect with excellent side dishes
4. Combo Platter ---> too sour, the cordon bleu was great, the prawn wasnt so bad but the rest were terrible. Absolutely not recommended.

Would love to explore other menus someday to compare between the cozy place and the food. They should be balanced. But it's hard to find, isnt it?
nevertheless, it's a nice place to have a coffee together with friends, chit chatting and relaxing.

Temu kangen member Lapanpuluhan kembali digelar jumat kemarin 4 Desember 2009. Acara yang bertempat di Luv Dine & Bar, Citywalk Sudirman ini sedianya berlangsung pada pukul 19.00, namun karena Jakarta diguyur hujan sore harinya hingga banyak hadirin yang terlambat, maka acara diundur menjadi pukul 21.00. Rinto A. Navis bertindak selaku MC malam itu, membuka acara dengan ramah tamah sesama member dan kuis - kuis memori seputar 80an. Setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan suguhan musik - musik nge-beat 80an dan jojing bersama. Lagi enak - enak tidur ngringkel gara - gara dingin akibat hujan seharian tiba - tiba HP gw bunyi, ternyata dari Dik Sheila Majid: "teruk sangat abang ni tidor melulu, adik nak nyanyi ni di senayan. abang datang ya... mmuuaachhh..." buru - buru mandi dan langsung meluncur bareng bageo menuju mulia senayan... reservasi dulu di depan resepsionist, ninggalin nama dan nomor lepon gw sambil nitip pesen ke mbaknya minta tolong kasih tau dik sheila kalo gw dah nyampe. Mbaknya cuman ngangguk - ngangguk, gw pun diem di tempat nunggu reaksi yang lain. Gak berapa lama mbaknya nanya lagi ..
