The Valley - The food and the place...

One night with Tina an ex colleague from my office. Now she works for a different company. Just like a reunion, I and Ellya accepted her invitation for dinner at the valley. She drove us up to 'Dago Atas' with her likely brand new car. She kept appologizing if she had uncomfortably driving the car, while i kept answering no her driving was okay, and i were fine. Conversations run along the way to 'The Valley' mostly bout the past when we used to be in a same company. Finally we arrived. It was a lil' bit cold and windy but nice. A lady as her courtesy lead us to what so called dinner area, an arty place with candle as a lighting to create romantic air.
Dinner a la carte, we began to check what's on menu and decided to order after 15 minutes. Ellya liked to have tom yam gong soup, cake and orange juice, while Tina and I preferred to have something hard as she ordered Tenderloin steak with veges and i had combo platter which consist of prawn, meat, chicken cordon bleu, and salad. We both ordered hot lemon tea.
After waiting for about 30 minutes the tom yam gong soup was served, finally, continued with orange juice and hot lemon tea for three of us, and then the cake and the tenderloin steak for the ladies. After long hours after that my combo platter came up! Thought i would have it two days later pffff.....
We ate and enjoy the meals while conversations continued.. Now reviewing begins...
1. Tom yam gong soup ---> taste like a rotten sayur lodeh (javanese cuisine) but seems Ellya liked it since it almost empty.
2. Kahlua Cream Cake ---> excellent taste! but too much sponge cake on it
3. Tenderloin steak ---> it was just perfect with excellent side dishes
4. Combo Platter ---> too sour, the cordon bleu was great, the prawn wasnt so bad but the rest were terrible. Absolutely not recommended.

Would love to explore other menus someday to compare between the cozy place and the food. They should be balanced. But it's hard to find, isnt it?
nevertheless, it's a nice place to have a coffee together with friends, chit chatting and relaxing.

Anakku Masuk TK!

Anakku masuk TK! itu kata emak gw pas gw masuk sekolah pertama kali. Inget banget kejadiannya waktu itu seperti biasa ikut kebangun dan nungguin emak gw sibuk dengan urusan pagi harinya persiapan mo ngantor. Karena lapar dan diluar ada seorang bapak penjaja kue bolang-baling** , gw dengan akal seorang bocah umur 4 tahunan memberanikan diri minta dibelikan kue itu sebagai sarapan... Seperti yang sudah gw duga emak gw menolak dengan halus, tapi kali ini jawabannya lain gw malah disuruh mandi dan bilang duit jajannya buat sekolah hari itu. Samar-samar gw inget seorang pembantu datang dan narik tangan gw untuk mandi. Gw mandi dengan pikiran masih bingung.. "kok malah sekolah?".. Jujur gw gak kepikiran sekolah bakal menakutkan atau menyita waktu main gw, gw sih biasa aja. tapi yg gw pikirin saat itu kenapa kue bolang baling harus diganti dengan sekolah? Sekolah gw adalah "TK Kuncup Harapan" yang notabene adalah punya tetangga gw sendiri dan letaknya pun cuman berjarak...
